As the first part of the epic Chinese mythological trilogy, “Creation of the Gods” was a runaway summer blockbuster. In an interview with CGTN’s The Vibe program, director Wuershan revealed his expectations for the second and third installments of the movie. “Naran has quite a big role in the second and third installments, particularly in the latter where she will display her talent at playing the guqin. And in the final movie, the character Jiang Wenhuan will still be alive,” said Wuershan.
He added that Yin Jiao is a character that spans all three movies, and his role will become more significant as the trilogy unfolds. He will also acquire incredible powers. At the start of the third film, there will be a spectacular scene involving all the princes, which will reveal the origin of the Guihou Sword. The princes will all make another appearance in that movie as well.
