Leading Party members of China’s top political advisory body met on Friday to study and discuss plans to implement the guiding principles from the just-concluded fourth plenary session of the 20th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
The meeting of the leading Party members’ group of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was presided over by the group’s secretary, Wang Huning, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee.
During the meeting, it was stated that the Recommendations of the CPC Central Committee for Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development, adopted by the plenum, are expected to exert a significant and far-reaching impact on the endeavors of both the Party and the country.
Acknowledging the achievements made during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), the meeting called on political advisors nationwide to prioritize the thorough study, publicity, and implementation of the guiding principles of the plenum as a major political task, work to align their thinking and actions with these principles and integrate them into all aspects of their performance of duties.
The meeting also emphasized the need to fully mobilize all political parties, people’s organizations, and individuals from all ethnic groups and sectors of society within the CPPCC, encouraging them to contribute actively to advancing Chinese modernization.
